Elim Clinic launches several projects in order to raise funds to enable us to:
- maintain and upgrade our premises and buildings
- implement additional equipment
- sponsor patients who do not have a medical aid and cannot afford to pay for treatment
Elim Clinic Athletic Club
Ex patients, with the support of Elim Clinic, has founded the Elim Clinic Athletic Club. This project offers youth from Tembisa the opportunity to participate in various road races around South Africa (such as the Comrades, Two Oceans and many more). Members of the Club run in Elim Colors and are supported by Elim Clinic in terms of entry fees, running gear, transport etc. At the same time, the aim of the project is to focus on Leadership and Personal Development through building life skills, offering support and enhancing individual potential.Sponsor a patient
The aim of this project is to raise funds in order to subsidise patients who cannot afford to pay the full treatment fee. Elim Clinic provides sponsorship for six patients per month. The Golf Day is a yearly fundraising event, and will take place on the 20st of October 2011. It is organised by Elim Clinic for Elim Clinic. To be able to make this day a reality we have an open invitation to individuals, groups and companies to be involved with sponsoring this day. Sponsors can use this as a marketing angle as we provide several opportunities for sponsors to market their company by sponsoring a hole, branding gifts, putting up banners, and adding their name and logo to our website.

Lapa

Going Green
Today going green is a global concept. In an attempt to take responsibility for our role in the utilization of natural resources, Elim Clinic is initiating the Going Green Project.
To implement the concept throughout the organization, at every point of consumption is a costly affair, but we are starting with that which is in our power and ability to change. We are focusing on saving water and electricity, recycling paper and minimizing the consumption of paper by making efficient use of digital media and in that way minimizing printing and copying.
These are but a few examples signifying the initial phase of the Going Green Project, we hope that in months and years to come we will be able to extend the project (for instance by installing solar heating, recycling gray water and all non-human waste). Our vision is to establish a triple bottom line, not only focusing on the economic aspect of our organization, but fully incorporating the social and environmental aspects as well.
